Any young person who thinks that their SQA exam result was poorer than what was predicted, is entitled to an appeal. This will take the form of a clerical check and then a remark of their paper by senior SQA appointees. Any young person who wishes to make an appeal should contact the school, by either phone, email or in person, before 29th August.
Learners requiring the outcome of an appeal for immediate progression to university, college, training or employment are entitled to a priority appeal, and must contact the school before 20th August.
Candidates have the opportunity to request a marking review directly from SQA, but we would strongly advise pupils to speak to school staff first and we can request a review on their behalf. Upon request of a marking review, pupil marks can go up or down, so a conversation with school staff is strongly advisable. Pupils can discuss this with year heads and guidance teachers upon our return to school on Thursday 14th August.
