Scottish Education Awards

The Scottish Education Awards were launched by the Scottish Government and the Scottish Daily Record with the specific aims of celebrating the successes and recognising the achievements taking place within Scottish education. Bishopbriggs Academy has the distinction of being one of the few schools who have won an award two years in succession.

In 2010 we were awarded

Enterprise and Employability Across Learning Award (Secondary)

This category recognises that Bishopbriggs Academy is helping their young people to develop the necessary skills for learning, skills for life and skills for work which are essential to learning and education under Curriculum for Excellence.

In 2011 the school was awarded

Literacy Across Learning Award

This category recognises that Bishopbriggs Academy has developed effective approaches to embedding the development of literacy skills across all areas of learning.
