Marie Curie - Daffodil Appeal 2017

In October last year, S6 pupils launched an appeal to raise funds on behalf of their chosen charity Marie Curie.  In return for a donation they promised to plant a daffodil field in remembrance of people who had faced terminal illness.

The appeal raised £478 from donations received at our Senior Citizens’ Christmas Lunch in December and from the pupils and staff of Bishopbriggs Academy. Led by Christopher Garry and with help from Andrew Cook, hundreds of daffodil bulbs were planted on the grassy area at the front of the school.  In addition, individual S1, S2 and S3 pupils planted their own daffodil in memory of someone close to them.
