Curriculum for Excellence

A Curriculum for Excellence is the Scottish Government's plan to introduce a new way of learning in schools.  It is designed to equip young people with the skills and knowledge they need to succeed in the 21st century.  The Scottish Qualifications Authority (SQA) designed new qualifications which were first introduced to schools from August 2013.  These qualifications aim to help young people to reach their full potential and demonstrate the skills and knowledge obtained as they progress through education and on to further or higher education, other learning or employment.
