Business Breakfast 2016

On Saturday 26th November 2016 we welcomed pupils, parents and carers to our first ever Business Breakfast. In line with the Scottish Government’s agenda of Developing the Young Workforce, this event was aimed at our senior phase pupils in providing an informed view of how best to help our young people accomplish a positive destination.

On the day we heard presentations from Bill McBride (DYW Board Chair), Gail Paterson (Glasgow Kelvin College), Bright Futures Committee (S6 Pupils), Ms Quigley and Mrs Kerr. Our bespoke coffees and bake sale also helped to raise over £200 for this year’s school charity, Marie Curie.

We would like to extend our thanks to the 36 partners (including local and national businesses, colleges and training providers) who helped to make the morning a success and who provided relevant and up-to-date advice and information for our pupils and parents.
